Meeting Point has been open since 1994, providing a support to the community in the local area. It opened its doors after 2 local
churches closed, in an effort to offer a Christian presence to those experiencing difficulties in their lives. We provide healthy food at reasonable prices
We provide friendship and support
We provide a listening ear
We provide opportunities to join a group of people wh

o like doing the same things
We provide the opportunity to help others
We provide information and resources to support the way you live
We provide an opportunity to speak to a minister without going to church
We are non judgemental

The Methodist Church North and East Circuit supports a Deacon who works at Meeting Point, offering a listening ear, counselling and support. There is also a café Manager who organises all food related activities. Many volunteers give their time to supporting a range of activities. The café is a warm, friendly place, where low
cost food is available from 7.00 am until 1.00pm. All are welcome and can make use of the facilities of the café.

Today we held our annual carols and shoebox day at meeting point. Another really busy day .thank you to all from various churches who helped make this possible by making up the hundreds of shoebox gifts .they were truly amazing. Thank you so much for you wonderful support. Merry christmas to you all and a peaceful new year .###
