I am thrilled to have Razwan exhibit his work here. I first met him Dark Woods Coffee when I attended his calligraphy workshop. (you can see my average attempts at traditional Arabic calligraphy in the later slides!

Fortunately it’s Razwan’s work you get to admire on our walls, not mine. At first glance, the pieces appear to be paintings of the cosmos and giant cat. Look closer, though, and you’ll see they are made up of letters!

I was desperate to display his work. To me the sentiment behind his work perfectly reflects what I love about living and working in Hyde Park. Our community is comprised of people of many faiths, ethnicities and ages, With the added tension between a younger transient population and a generally older, permanent one.

It is this diversity of people all contributing to our community in their own way that makes Hyde Park such a special place. It is the most interesting and invigorating place that I have ever lived.

I love all of the work in the shop but in particular the boxer which I hung in my favourite seat right at the back. Made up of the Arabic phrase “Actions speak louder than words,” it was formerly housed at Cartwright Hall and now hangs proudly at Coffee On The Crescent!

What an unbelievable day! More importantly what an incredible team effort!

COTC took to the road and created a speciality coffee offering in an office!

Isabel took sole charge of our shop whilst Shanna, Sean and I supported .architecture for their annual ukreiif networking event in Leeds City Centre! Thankyou for having us:)

Super grateful to Krag from for helping source our new linea mini.

We showcased six different coffees included some of our favourite roasters including .grind.

We paired the coffee with homemade bakeds fresh fruit and patisserie from our friends and
