Evening all,

As many of you know we usually close August Bank Holiday weekend. So many of our young ladies are partying away at Leeds Fest/Creamfields after a tough few months working hard for their GCE’s and A levels and we never begrudge them the opportunity to let their hair down.

The girls will all still be partying this weekend but we’re staying open with our regular hours. The only thing to note is that the kitchen is closed tomorrow.

I’ll be making tons of sausage rolls and hopefully a few “grab n go” filled sourdoughs too.

Myself and Emilia will be raring to go in the morning. See you then! Xx

Hope you’re all having a fantastic summer.

We’re enjoying some time away in the Dales this week so tomorrow 21st August the kitchen will be closed.

Tomorrow the cafe is left in the very capable hands of Lily and Lottie. They will be serving Drinks, Pastries and Sausage Rolls from 9.30-3.00pm. Normal business resumed on Saturday.

Morning!
Just a quick update that although the cafe is open as usual, our kitchen will be closed today. The team have done a sterling job of keeping the cafe running incredibly well during a very busy week but could all do with a little rest today.

As I’m still in hospital with the new addition our lovely Lily will be making the sausage rolls first thing. All our usual Saturday cakes, pastries and bakes will be on the counter.

Morning!
Quick update, we welcomed a new addition to the team this week!

Baby Tomlinson (no name as yet) made his dramatic entrance by emergency C section in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

We are both quite ill at the moment but receiving the absolute best care by incredible teams at both Jimmys and LGI Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Absolutely everyone without exception from the Anaesthetists, Consultants, Midwives, to the Catering and Cleaning team have treat us with the utmost kindness, care and respect. Complete angels; everyone one of them.

We are also supported by an equally amazing team here at the Cafe.

Both me and Matt been blown away by the kindness, love and capability that our staff, customers and suppliers have all shown us this week. Absolutely everyone has rallied to help us through a pretty rough time and we are incredible grateful.

Nevertheless, there is likely to be some minor disruption to service over the next few days so please bear with us. Opening hours will stay the same, but there may be limited service particularly on Saturday afternoon.

Thank you so much for your patience during coming days and weeks.

I shall be inundating you with newborn baby photos just as soon as he looks less like an Asda SmartPrice uncooked chicken and more like the absolutely beautiful baby boy he is underneath all that medical “stuff”.

Morning all, our coffee machine has thrown a dicky-fit so we’re unable to offer any kind of hot drinks. Lots of lovely cold fizzy ones though and otherwise business as usual. Sorry! ###
