Its Za’atar’s first day today..it looked beautiful and bustling when we passed! We have sampled some of the menu and it’s amazing. Dave can also confirm the beer on tap is really good! Really lovely family run business. Please go support him ###

If you’ve passed where Kennedy’s was recently you’ll have seen lots of activity going on inside!! Opening very soon! a lovely man, i wish him all the best. We’ve had quite a few delicious samples.. i cant wait to go in properly. Street food by day and wine and dine on an evening! Please go support his lovely restaurant and bar xx

What a day. Thank you. Thank you from myself and the Kennedy’s girls for making our last day so special. For the cards, flowers, chocolates, and most of all the tight hugs. We are obviously all incredibly sad but feel so lucky to have met all of you. ###

I just want to shout out to the lovely, local indies who have reached out with love and kindness to me this week.

Remember to support local independent businesses like Kennedy’s. They need you now more than ever!
Pop in and say hi to Alex at Alexanders Deli & Catering. His food is phenomenal and hes one of the nicest kindest people ive ever met.
Go visit Jane at West Park Cafe, (your lovely kind message was so appreciated). You might even find our brownies there!!

Thank you to Lucy and Karl from Truly Scrummy Deli in Horsforth, for making us a breakfast spot for them sometimes and for your kindness this week!

If you need a North star fix.. (and who doesnt need a decent coffee!?) get to The Bramhope Deli or Arlo. Thanks ladies for helping me at the start (Nikki), and more recently (Steph!).

Its with the saddest of hearts that i have to tell you all I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close the doors of Kennedy’s.
Im sure anyone who has ever stepped foot in our lovely cafe will know how much it means to me and my lovely team and how much we mean to each other, and i’ve agonised over this decision. Ive put my whole life into this, financially and emotionally. The prospect of not seeing our amazing loyal regulars, (some of who come in more than once a day!!), is incredibly sad.
Unfortunately some other factors out of my control, the cost of living and eye watering energy bills, has taking an insurmountable toll on my little indie business and i cant really continue to absorb that.

The heart of Kennedy’s for me was always community and Kindness and our amazing customers helped us to create that. We thank every single one of you for your support, your chats, and the smiles.

Ive been lucky enough to meet some amazing people and make life long friends as a result of this journey. Ive held freshly born babies straight out of hospital, watched relationship’s flourish over our coffee and loved being a little part of your lives.

Thank you to my amazing supportive team (new and old), for your hard work and dedication and for putting up with me crying over poached bloody eggs!!! You know how much you all mean ###

Our last day will be Saturday 14th January. Xx

The last glass of wine has been guzzled for a few weeks (dry jan is easy right!!?), and we are back at it! Soup bubbling, cakes baking, and breakfasts sizzling. North star dreamy coffee as standard! Happy first day back to reality ###

My favourite bit i think!!
Was actually up early with the laptop making plans for Kennedy’s for next year…. (Yorkshire wrap delivery on Sundays anyone??), but once the mini beasts are up i’ll be making a quality street breakfast on Toast for us all and enjoying this down time. Merry Twixmas ###x
