Yesterday, a customer came into Nisco and ordered two meals and a drink. They took their time asking questions about the menu and even added extras to their order. Once the food was served, they simply walked out with intention, after giving the impression they had to take a call.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened, and it is incredibly disheartening.
I have worked throughout the entire bank holiday, spending long hours in the kitchen with extreme heat and then shopping for stock afterwards, sacrificing valuable quality time with my children to keep the business running. To have food wasted in this way is upsetting and unacceptable, as well as the time it took to cook and no payment.
I have never wanted to introduce a pay before you order system for dine-in customers, aside from outside orders, but situations like this are making me seriously reconsider.
