Next week is Negroni Week - a very special occasion that certain members of the team observe up to 52 times a year…
To mark the occasion, all this month we’re filling our ridiculously oversized Campari bottle with batched Tanq, Campari and Cocchi di Torino Negronis and slinging them out on the optics for just £5 a pop, all day every day in September.

Little throwback to our Empire Cafe & Friends Fish Street Takeover this past August Bank Holiday. Big thanks again to the friends in question .digestivo and of course to everybody who came down to make our biggest party so far such a good do. Only six or seven short months until the next Bank Holiday Sunday…

Confit Carrots. Cooked slow until fudgy with just the right amount of bite, and finished hard and fast over the coal grill to give them a bit of char, as a reminder of the barbecue days past. Served on a carrot and crème fraiche sauce with a touch of spice. On the menu now

Our siblings/friendly rivals might have a whole Mustard Menu, but are they putting it in cocktails? Our Alfie is… Stone House Sour - a wh***ey sour recipe dreamt up for a cocktail competition he forgot to actually enter, with Dijon mustard-infused bourbon and apricot liqueur. Sounds intimidating but makes perfect sense when you think about it. Don’t just take our word for it though, it’s on the autumn cocktail menu now.

Hate to admit it, but we’ve abruptly found ourselves in comfort food season, and what Pease Pudding lacks in glamour, it definitely overcompensates for in comfort. Stewed split yellow peas with a warm hum of spice, topped with salty ham hock, served with a milk roll bun baked fresh every day, and a hearty pat of butter to help start padding you out for the coming cold months

Leeds Hospitality Collective Update:

Thanks to everybody who has signed up and showed their interest and support so far - the response from everybody has been bigger than we ever anticipated. All of the operators who have signed up so far should have received a Save The Date earlier this week (check your spam folders if not!) for our launch meeting on Monday 21st September. The responses to this will help us determine which venue we book for the meet-up, and we’ll be sending out invitations with details of the venue shortly.

If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do that via the link in our bio, and you’ll receive the invitation when it goes out to everybody.

Our second Tuesday service is winding down, so here’s a look at our Chicken Parfait Choux Bun from the current small plates menu. A little twist on our signature Duck Eclair, with silky savoury chicken parfait towering high between choux pastry, with a tart raspberry glaze and fresh seasonal raspberries.

Cava & a bowl of sweets. Does what it says on the tin. A selection of chocolates made in house, including caramel, ch*****ne truffles, and truffled white chocolate, served with a glass of cava. A chic alternative if you’ve got no room for dessert, or one final lap of honour once you’ve already had one and aren’t quite ready to call it a night yet

Reminder that we’re open Tuesdays as of today, and an introduction to our Dirty Martini Tomato Salad. Flipping the tomatoes-in-cocktails sensation on its head, we blanch and peel cherry tomatoes before marinating them in dry vermouth, olive brine, lemon zest, and juniper before serving with EVOO and some salty anchovy slithers. Perfect little pops of dirty, botanical freshness
