A Heartfelt Thank You from Table 17
Hi, everyone,
We would like to take a moment to say a very special thank you to our incredible customers, friends, family, and everyone who has supported Table 17.
We are truly honoured to have been named Runners-Up at the English Curry Awards 2026 for New Restaurant of the Year.
When we opened the doors to Table 17 in December 2025, we knew we were taking on a challenge.
We were entering a space where, before us, many had tried and unfortunately failed. We knew the journey wouldn’t be easy, but we believed in our vision, our team, and most importantly, the people we were building this restaurant for — you, our customers.
To even be nominated for this award is an incredible achievement in itself.
One of the rules of the category was that a restaurant had to have been trading for at least 12 months. As we had only opened our doors in December 2025, we didn’t meet that requirement.
However, due to the overwhelming demand from our customers, along with the previous achievements and reputation we have built as the founders of the Table Group, we were given the opportunity to take part under special circumstances.
This journey, however, did not begin with Table 17.
Before this, we proudly owned and operated Table 27 in Morley for 8 years, and Table 26 in Swillington for 6 years. During that time, we were honoured to win both the Morley Business Awards and the English Curry Awards 2021, and we were proud to be recognised as finalists in these awards in every consecutive year following.
These experiences shaped who we are today, built our standards, and strengthened our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our communities.
And for us, that means so much.
To be recognised alongside established restaurants, after such a short time with Table 17, is something we are incredibly proud of.
But this achievement isn’t just ours.
It belongs to every single person who has walked through our doors, shared a meal with us, recommended us to a friend, left us a review, supported us online, and most importantly, took the time to vote for Table 17.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
Your support, your loyalty, your feedback, and your belief in what we are trying to create mean more to us than we can put into words.
Being Runners-Up is a fantastic achievement, but for us, this is only the beginning.
We are still a young restaurant. We are still learning, growing, improving, and building something special — and we want you to be part of that journey with us.
So to every customer, every friend, every member of our team, and everyone who has supported Table 17 from day one:
Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for voting for us. And thank you for growing with us.
We couldn’t have done it without you.
