Absolutely not. 🤣🙌

I loved creating this fun birthday cake for Claire’s big 4-0 — bright, bold, playful and packed with a little bit of childhood nostalgia. ❤️🖤

Who says milestone birthdays have to be sophisticated and sensible?! Sometimes your birthday cake should simply be filled with the things that make you smile. 🥰

And personally, I think that’s a pretty good rule for life too!

❤️ ONE YEAR AGO… ❤️

How has it been a whole year already?! 🥂

With Mr & Mrs Yates’ first wedding anniversary coming up, I couldn’t resist looking back at their gorgeous wedding cake at The Angel Hotel.

And the best bit? This style is still incredibly popular! 😍

The vintage heart-shaped cake trend certainly isn’t going anywhere — and I can see why. Traditional piped buttercream, deep red roses, touches of gold and those gorgeous little matching cupcakes… romantic, elegant and just a little bit dramatic. ❤️✨

It’s always lovely looking back at cakes I created a year ago and seeing designs that are still inspiring couples today.

Wishing Mr & Mrs Yates a very happy 1st anniversary and hoping the first year of married life has been every bit as wonderful as your wedding day. 🥰🥂

I had a count of my Sale rail today and somehow there are 65 gorgeous wedding dresses waiting for their person.

SIXTY FIVE.

They’re sizes 8–28, they’re all under £800, and they’re all available to buy straight off the peg and take home.

Four of them found their brides last week, which made me ridiculously happy, but I’ve still got a rather full rail!

So if you’re getting married in 2026 or 2027 and you’d rather spend hundreds than thousands on your wedding dress, come and have a rummage.

No pressure. No scary bridal shop experience. Just you, me, a big mirror and a LOT of dresses.

And because they’re one-offs, when one goes, it really is gone.

A very special cake for Charlotte’s 30th Birthday 💕🥂

Soft blush pinks, ivory, rose gold florals and just a little touch of gold leaf made this such a beautiful combination. I absolutely love how elegant it turned out — pretty, feminine and definitely worthy of a milestone celebration! 🎂🌸✨

Because if you’re going to turn 30… you may as well do it with cake! 😉💗

🍬 And, just in case we hadn’t quite covered it… MORE SWEETS! 🤣

I loved making this one — from the overflowing sweetie box right down the side of the cake to the Parma Violets, ch*****ne glasses and party bits scattered everywhere. There was definitely no danger of this one being described as understated 😂

Sometimes a cake just needs to be completely over the top… and I am 100% here for it! 🙌🏻🎂

✨ HELLO… REMEMBER ME? 🙈🤣 ✨

I feel like I owe my lovely Nanny Sam’s Cakes followers a little apology… I’ve been rather quiet! 😳

Life has been a little hectic lately and, between cakes, work and everything else that seems to fill the hours in a day, my social media has been somewhat neglected!

But I promise… I am still here and the cakes are most definitely still happening! 🎂🤣

So I thought I’d pop back onto your feeds with something a little different. 🥰

How gorgeous is this dessert table, created recently for a very special Golden Wedding Anniversary? 💛✨

Because sometimes… one cake just isn’t enough! 😉

A dessert table is such a lovely way to give your guests a selection of treats to enjoy — with a celebration cake taking centre stage, surrounded by cupcakes, cookies, brownies, millionaire’s shortbread, doughnuts and all sorts of other goodies. 🧁🍪🍩

They’re perfect for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays or pretty much any celebration where you want to offer something a little different.

And the best bit? Everything can be tailored to suit your occasion — from an elegant coordinated display to a proper “give me ALL the sweet things” table. 🤣

This one was especially lovely to create for a couple celebrating an incredible 50 years of marriage. 🥂💛

🌸 Niall & Zoe 🌸

A little look back at the beautiful wedding of Niall & Zoe, who celebrated their special day at the fabulous 🥂💍

Rather than a traditional tiered wedding cake, they chose a gorgeous cupcake tower, topped with a cutting cake and surrounded by the most wonderful setting.

And this really was a team effort! 💕 A huge shout-out to for the fantastic venue décor — everything looked absolutely beautiful. 🌸🌿

But I have to give a VERY special mention to the groom, Niall, who actually created that amazing display hoop for the cake himself! 👏😍 What a fabulous idea, and once dressed with the flowers it framed the cupcake tower perfectly. I think we may have found him a new sideline! 😂

Their guests were certainly spoilt for choice too, with flavours including Red Velvet & Vanilla, Carrot & Vanilla, Black Forest, Lemon, Coffee and Vanilla & Chocolate. 🧁😋

The individually boxed cupcakes alongside the display — these are allergen cupcakes for those guests who can’t share the main cakes but shouldn’t miss out - little finishing touch. 🤍

A huge congratulations to Niall & Zoe. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter and very happy memories together. 🥂💕

Congratulations Tanya & Michael! 🥂💍

It was such a pleasure creating these cakes for Tanya & Michael, who recently celebrated their beautiful wedding day. 🤍

I absolutely loved the natural, rustic feel of this design — soft ivory buttercream, delicate white flowers, eucalyptus and those little touches of gold, all sitting perfectly on the gorgeous wooden cake stands. And of course, their little accompanying cake had to have its own moment too! 🌿✨

Wishing you both a lifetime filled with love, laughter and wonderful adventures together.

And talking of adventures… have the most AMAZING honeymoon in Bali! 🌴☀️🍹 I’m only slightly jealous! 😂
