When we said “drink the bar dry”, we didn’t expect you to take it quite so literally… but you did, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! ❤️
What a send-off. Seeing so many familiar faces, sharing laughs, stories, hugs (and a few tears!) made our final night one we’ll never forget.
To every customer who’s walked through our doors, and to every member of staff, past and present, who has been part of our journey over the last 19 months… thank you. You’ve helped make The Retreat more than just a pub – you’ve made it a family.
As one door closes, please remember how important your local pubs, cafés and independent businesses are. They don’t survive on likes and shares alone (although we love those too! 😉) – they survive because people choose to pop in for “just the one”… which, as we’ve all learned, usually turns into four! 🍺🤣
So if you have a local you love, use it, support it and keep it alive. Local businesses are the heart of our communities.
