We wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along on Saturday to celebrate AllSaints. It meant a huge amount to our amazing team of young people to see so many familiar faces supporting the coffee shop and was the perfect farewell.

The coffee shop may be closed, but our desire to support local young people very much remains. Our Coffee Shop Manager Laura Dicken will be joining Leatherhead Youth Project in January to help shape new support for older teens. She and the LYP team will be working closely with the 16 - 21 year olds themselves to look at the issues they are facing, what provision there is locally and how LYP can best fill the gap.

As this will be the last post from AllSaints you can stay up to date with everything LYP is doing to support local young people by following Leatherhead Youth Project on Facebook and '' on Instagram and Twitter.

Thank you again for all the support you have shown AllSaints over the years and wishing you a very Merry Christmas and New Year!

All the best from Laura and the AllSaints Team

Seven years ago we set up AllSaints to provide disadvantaged young people from North Leatherhead with a healthy launchpad into working life. This was an ambitious project to take on, which has had its financial challenges. We've also seen coming out of the pandemic that local 16+ year olds have a unique set of needs different to previous generations and to be able to best support them we need to adapt our offer. The time has come to re-evaluate our current provision to make sure we are sustainably supporting local young people to the best of our ability.

This has led us to take a step back and make the decision that now is the right time to close AllSaints doors. Going forward we will be investing in finding new sustainable and innovative ways that will enable us to support the next upcoming cohort of local 16 – 20 year olds. We are really excited for what the future will hold as we work more closely with our young people to shape a new offer.

We feel incredibly blessed that for the last seven years we’ve been able to be open six days a week, providing life-changing support for 25 young people. We couldn’t have done this without the generous support of our community, regularly visiting the coffee shop and supporting us where you could. This has enabled so many local young people in North Leatherhead to reach their full potential and for this we will be forever grateful.

We will be celebrating our last week of AllSaints from 6th – 11th December and would love to see you! We will be open from 8am – 3pm as usual with our full offering available from 6th – 10th December. On Saturday 11th December pop down to purchase an AllSaints coffee and slice of cake with the chance to congratulate our amazing team on all they have achieved.

We look forward to seeing you to celebrate everything AllSaints has meant to our local community and young people.

We've got Jennie from Christians Against Poverty with us this morning, providing friendly advice and support on how to become debt free. This amazing charity has supported so many to find a route out of debt and imagine a different future for themselves.

Liam has been with AllSaints since we opened and is now an Assistant Manager! Read his story below to hear how AllSaints has helped him:

When Liam left school, he had low confidence and struggled to find the right path and wasn’t sure of his next steps. Liam went to Romania with Leatherhead Youth Project (LYP) in 2013 as part of a team of young people who ran a summer camp for Roma teenagers in Transylvania. This was a fantastic experience for Liam and he made a huge contribution to the trip.

At the same time LYP began planning their first community business, AllSaints Coffee Shop to employ local young people to provide valuable life skills and work experience. In October 2014 Liam became the first young apprentice at AllSaints and during his time with the coffee shop he has grown in confidence, gained a Customer Service qualification and is now an Assistant Manager training up our team of young Baristas.

Liam says of his time at Allsaints: “If I wasn’t working at Allsaints then I have no idea what I would be doing. It’s given me key experience of work and it’s become a second home. I’ve grown a lot and have been able to help the younger staff members which I really enjoy.”

We are incredibly proud of Liam, who is proof that our model as a route to work programme can be a huge success for local young people.
