📱✨ VOLUNTEER SOCIAL MEDIA CREATOR WANTED! ✨📚☕

Are you creative, full of ideas and looking for something worthwhile to get involved with?

Harbury Village Library & Biblio’s Café is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer (aged 18+) to help create engaging content for our Facebook and Instagram pages.

This could be a great opportunity if you’ve recently graduated and want some useful experience for your CV, if you’re applying for university and would like to demonstrate volunteering and commitment to your community, or perhaps you simply have a creative streak and would love an outlet for it!

You don’t need to be a professional social media whizz. We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, a good eye for what makes an interesting post and a willingness to have a go. We’ll give you information about what’s happening at the library, and you’ll have plenty of creative freedom to turn it into posts that get people talking, visiting and involved.

You’ll be helping us promote everything from events and regular activities to the café, books, local artists, community initiatives and all the other things that make Harbury Village Library rather more than just a library. 💙

It’s a chance to:
✨ Build your CV or portfolio
✨ Gain hands-on social media and marketing experience
✨ Use your creativity
✨ Learn new skills
✨ And give something back to your local community

Interested? Pop into the library for a chat or email [email protected].

And please share — the perfect person might be someone you know! 📲💛

Watching Marble Hall Murders on BBC? 🔎📚

Want to know whodunit… or just need a little help following the plot? 😄

Anthony Horowitz’s latest mystery is certainly keeping viewers on their toes, with twists, turns, multiple timelines and a story-within-a-story to unravel.

Luckily, we have two copies of Marble Hall Murders available at Harbury Village Library.

Read along with the series, get ahead of the TV detectives — or simply work out who on earth is who!

Pop in and borrow a copy. No spoilers from us… 🤫

Why aren’t you following Harbury Village Library yet? 👀

There’s so much more to the library than books — and the easiest way to keep up with everything happening is to follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

We regularly share details of upcoming events, tickets going on sale, activities for children and adults, new books, local news and community information.

And when you actually pop into the library, there’s even more to discover. You’ll find work and gifts from local artists and makers for sale, as well as our Seed Share, Wool Share, recycling points and Food Bank collection.

Then there’s Biblio’s Café, clubs, groups, talks, workshops and all sorts of other things happening throughout the year.

Basically, if something is going on at Harbury Village Library, our social media is one of the best ways to hear about it.

It’s Friday! What better way to start the weekend than with a trip to Biblio’s Café for a slice of delicious homemade cake and a fresh coffee? 🍰☕

Remember, we do takeaway as well as eat-in, so you can enjoy a slice with us and perhaps take another home for a weekend treat!

And a big, warm Biblio’s welcome to our new volunteers – Jacqui, Jo and Cath! 💙

We’re always looking for more lovely people to join our volunteer team, whether that’s helping in the library, in Biblio’s Café or behind the scenes. It’s a great way to meet people, get involved and be part of a fantastic village community.

We’re delighted to have received a lovely new book for the library, Warwickshire Wild Adventures – Chosen by Kids, kindly donated by its local author.

Packed with 25 outdoor adventures across Warwickshire, it’s full of ideas to get children exploring, climbing, splashing, cycling and discovering some brilliant places right on our doorstep.

We’ll be keeping the book in the library as a reference copy, so parents, grandparents and children are very welcome to come in, have a browse and use it to plan their next day out or family adventure.

A lovely addition to the library — and a big thank you to the author for thinking of us!

We’re looking for someone to take over the social media for Harbury Village Library & Biblio’s Café.

If you’re 18+, creative, confident with social media and looking for something useful to add to your CV, this could be a great opportunity — especially if you’re interested in marketing, content creation, communications or social media.

You’ll be given the information about what’s happening at the library, but there’s plenty of freedom to decide how to turn that into posts people actually want to engage with.

It’s a chance to build some real-world experience, create a small portfolio of work, and help promote a local community space at the same time.
