Hot Chocolates made with single origin Chocolate from Tosier and Pump Street. Lovely Kitchenware My lovely little shop in Lavenham has adapted over the years, and is bursting at the seams with all sorts of goodies. Although I have made ice cream for the past 20 years, I have never enjoyed conjuring up as many lovely flavours as I have this year. Customers have brought me plums, damsons, figs, appl
es, raspberries and apples all have either been whipped into an ice cream or slowly stirred into the 'Sorbet of the Day'. It has been wonderful, and the flavours have been fabulous especially the cherry and surprisingly the blackberry. Heading to cooler days, comforting Hot Chocolate is served with 'mega' Marshmallows made by Yaffle House. Suffolk is fortunate to have two bean to bar chocolate makers, Tosier and Pump Street Chocolate - so choose your chocolate strength and I will make you a rich delicious drink. Sadly, due to the current COVID restrictions as my shop is small there is limited seating inside - but you are welcome to sit outside with a mug and enjoy the beauty of Lavenham's High Street. I have been tinkering with my Chocolate Truffles, and proud to have won some national Awards with these this year. Come and taste these or better still send a box to a friend! And then finally, there are the kitchen gifts. Quite simply a mixture of lovely pottery to brighten up your home from Emma Bridgewater, Jane Hogben and other potters all handmade and hand painted. Textiles designed by local artist Sophie A. Mann make lovely gifts, all printed in the UK on unbleached cotton. This year I have a delicious selection of foodie treats, many not found outside London. Panettone made especially for me, and other bespoke items will make this year's Hamper choice ever better. Plus, of course my homemade Amaretti that were such a hit. So, I do hope that you enjoy visiting The Parlour, it is packed full of loveliness from small artisan food producers and creative craftspeople - and in the cooler months is just so much more 'than just an ice cream shop'.
