Harvest is well underway across the farm, with plenty going on in the fields alongside the berries.

As well as growing our berries, we grow a range of cereals including barley, wheat and oats — so there’s plenty keeping us busy at this time of year! 🚜🌾

Ever heard of the “cherry gap”?🍒

At Castleton we’re picking fresh cherries right through August and into early September, long after many other British cherry growers have finished for the season!

It’s one of the benefits of growing in the north-east of Scotland. While supplies elsewhere begin to slow down, our trees are just hitting their stride.

So if you’re looking for fresh Scottish cherries, now’s the time to snap them up before the season finally comes to an end.
