⛳️⛳️ Winter League ⛳️⛳️

⛳️ Thank-you once again to everyone who has entered the Winter League this year, we have a total of 17 teams competing. For those who entered as individuals or in pairs, we have either placed you in a team with available space or else grouped you together to form another team.

⛳️ The format will be the same as last year and I have added the information below for your reading prior to commencing this Friday:

⛳️ Winter League will be played over 9 holes each week (10 weeks in total), these holes will be indicated in advance of the first competition day of each week.
- Your best 8 scores from the 10 weeks will count towards individual and team prizes.
- Winter League will run from Friday through to Wednesday, you can enter the Winter League only once per week.
- For the Winter League to be classed as a counting week, a minimum of one weekend day and one week day must be open for play.

⛳️ Mats are already in use and as per previous communication and are to be used in both fairway and rough. Potential sanctions for not using a mat may include, DQ and suspension from the following week play, please be sure to report any non-conformance.
- The 9th and 10th holes will be shortened to par 3s and played off mats.
- Handicap allowance will be 85% given the shortened nature of the course.
- Pro sweeps will run alongside the Winter League, you can enter these sweeps as many days as you please. You can only enter the Winter League once each week.

💥💥Course Conditions - Fairway Mats💥💥

⛳️ Unfortunately the time has now come that the usage of fairway mats will be compulsory from tomorrow.

⛳️ If you see anyone who isn't using a mat, please let us know and we can deal with that...hopefully we don't need to and every member will adhere to this.

⛳️These are in place to preserve our course over the winter to ensure that our fairways are in top condition for the start of the 2027 season.

⛳️Get the mats back in the bag and if you don’t have one please speak with the pro who will be more than happy to help get you a new one.

A few important reminders for our golf buggy users:

⛳️ Please ensure that all golf buggies remain on designated pathways at all times.

⛳️ Where no pathway is available, please use common sense and keep a minimum of 4 meters from greens and tees

⛳️ Please help us protect your course and prolong buggy use over the winter months.

❄️❄️Winter League Update❄️❄️

Please note that we are delaying the start of the Winter League by one week in the interest of trying to get more teams entered. We currently stand at 16 teams and hope to get to a minimum of 20.

If you do not have a team and would wish to play, please get your name in the mix and we can match individuals up within teams. Please contact the office or pro shop.

Deadline for entry extended to Tuesday 20th October.

First day of Winter League will be Friday 23rd October.

Not something our greenkeepers want to see or any members want to see. A divot has been taken out of our 5th green.

Anyone who has done this clearly isn't a proper golfer or has no consideration for our course. If any members see this type of activity they should be reporting this to the club so that the relevant person can be dealt with.

Our greenkeepers put a lot of time and effort into our greens and golf course, please show them some respect and refrain from doing this.
