We are dog friendly and certified as one of the most haunted pubs in Britain. It was originally built as an Inn for those travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh and for locals who wanted to enjoy the stunning countryside along the River Avon. The Applebank Inn is situated in the heart of the Morgan Glen, one of the most stunning settings in this area of Scotland. The Morgan Glen has riverside wa

lks through some of the finest parts of the ancient Clyde Valley woodlands - and has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Scotland and a European Special Area for Conservation. Visitors to the area can also ramble through miles of stunning gorge walks towards Chatelherault Country Estate along the River Avon and through ancient woodland, some of which are the oldest in the country. The area is home to a wide range of wildlife including roe deer, badgers, otters, kingfishers and many more.

Tomorrow we will be closed to the public all day as we pay our final respects to our beloved friend and head chef Colin. We would like to extend our thanks for donations and condolences received on behalf of Colin’s friends and family. We appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.

It is with great sadness that we share the funeral arrangements for our beloved Colin Frame. 💔

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects as we come together to celebrate Colin’s life and share cherished memories.

The service will begin at Co-op Funeral Parlour on Wednesday 27th May at 9:45am.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with all of Colin’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. ❤️

Today we lost one of our own, our much loved chef Colin Frame. 💔

Colin wasn’t just part of the team — he was part of the family. His kindness, hard work, humour, and incredible talent in the kitchen touched so many people over the years. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Colin’s family and friends at this heartbreaking time.

In honour of Colin, we are asking anyone who can to please make a donation in his memory. Every contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much and help support his loved ones during this difficult time.
