Good morning,

Today our family and especially those residing near the Langtoft Sport Field had an unfortunate surprise at the field.

We just want to come on here and say thanks to the fire departments that came to put out the massive fire and most importantly, thank everyone who came running out from their homes to put it all out in time.

In this dry season, we want to ask everyone and to spread awareness of the importance of not abandoning your ci******es, or any other flammable items, in the middle of dry grass. It might not seem like a big thing but nowadays, taking the time to put out your ci******es in a safe place and taking them home/bin can make a massive difference not only to the community spaces but peoples’ livelihood as well. It is never guaranteed that help will come in time.

Thank you again to the community and fire departments from the surrounding areas! We are very grateful no bigger damage has reached beyond.

Hello Everyone! The family and I are very grateful for all the lovely messages regarding the fire. We really do appreciate seeing all the support.

We have created a Gofundme page for the Sport Cafe in hopes of raising even a little bit for the repairments needed to get the Cafe up and running again soon. Every penny is very much appreciated. If any of you have any spare materials we could use to repair the damage that you are willing to donate, we would appreciate that loads.

We just wanna say a special thanks to the fire department for getting to the field in time before it came to the worst. We really appreciate you! We e also wanna say very big thanks to all the family friends who have come to help last night!

Hi all!, as you probably know the field and Cafe were involved in a fire. To summarise straight from the fire fighters is that the fire started externally down the fence line from the Cafe and spread onto the farmers field and down to the cafe. Thankfully the fire team responded quickly and minimised the spread further into the cafe.
At this moment Cafe is temporary closed and we don't know what will be next . Thank you all who was be here for our support on phone or at Cafe. Big thank you Fire brigade which was rescue at our Cafe and field
