Situated in the middle of Lancaster's busy town centre, the John continues to thrive, whilst keeping its rustic appearance inside and out. With its ever popular live music weekends to real ales, the John provides that 'real' pub atmosphere. Gaining its first license in 1871 the John has seen many generations of people walk through its doors (and crawl back out), and has gone from strength to stren

gth. From live music all weekend, every midweek night, to open mic on a Sunday and monday, the pub is always full of life. Encouraging the local up and coming talent to well established world wide groups, it's had it all. Why not step back in history and visit one of Lancaster's oldest pubs.
