Our first one star review! I’ve been waiting for it to happen but I really hoped it would be from someone who had actually been a customer and not someone who had walked an hour without checking Facebook or Instagram first despite clearly having access to the internet. If anyone who has actually been in wants to leave us a positive review please feel free… one star for food he didn’t get. I hope his day improves somewhat, maybe he was hangry 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

We’ve had to close, one of our staff is disgusting and full of germs (it’s Grace 💩) here is Jon’s terrible sign that he made with a pen that doesn’t work and a sheet of grease proof paper, honestly can’t get the staff. See you tomorrow ♥️

He’s only bloody done it! The lemon meringue pie is gone, we sold most of it. He has taken this as a sign that he should order himself a catering size cake and call it ‘Jon’s cake of the week’ he eats half, you get half for £1… then he walked off muttering something about gateau.

Anyway! MacMillan coffee day tomorrow, we will have cakes and pastries available all day along with tea and coffee for a donation to a very worthy cause, you can donate in cash or with the QR code that will be displayed out front 💚💚💚

It’s Friday Pieday again, today we had some preorders to do, chicken and leek and steak family size pies, we make these to order and they work out at just £2 per portion, we’ve got a counter full of pies and pasties, cheese and onion, steak, minced steak and potato, chicken and leek, hog roast, and Lancashire pasties, plus sausage rolls. If you fancy a hot lunch for less than a fiver, you know where to come ♥️

Jon, in his infinite wisdom, has ordered himself an entire catering sized lemon meringue pie, he decided he wanted a slice in the middle of the night the other night and now we’ve got a load of it. If anyone wants a piece for £1 so they’ve all gone, come and grab one… if he doesn’t eat them all first, to give him his due he’s eaten lemon meringue for breakfast.

Our very clever eldest grandson, Lucah, who you will occasionally see in the shop helping out clearing tables and serving is taking things really seriously! We are super proud of him and hope his keen interest in food continues and he becomes a famous chef one day 😁 Today you’ve got Leo and Grace again, they did a great job yesterday so win be running the cafe on Mondays and Tuesdays going forward, me and Jon will be there the rest of the week. Still a slightly limited menu while they find their rhythm. Thank you everyone ♥️
