You know the brownies. But there’s so much more behind Hathren than what comes out of the oven.
There’s family, food, memories, West Wales, my love of baking, and all the twists and turns that somehow led me here.
And I realised recently that while I’ve shared lots of the what, I haven’t shared nearly enough of the why.
So perhaps it’s time to tell some of those stories.
The people who influenced me.
The things I’ve learnt.
The moments that have shaped Hathren.
The highs, the challenges and everything in between.
Because I think when you know the story behind something, it means a little bit more.

The Hathren Picnic Box

A little taste of Wales, delivered straight to your door.

Our Hathren Picnic Box is packed full of homemade Welsh treats and nostalgic bakes — perfect for a cosy afternoon tea, a picnic in the garden, or simply enjoying something delicious with a cuppa.

Inside, you’ll find a tempting selection of Hathren brownies and blondies, freshly baked scones ready for you to add your own jam and cream, traditional Welsh cakes, old-school sprinkle cake, indulgent chocolate cake and classic Bara Brith.

Made with plenty of love and a generous helping of Welsh baking tradition, it’s a box designed for sharing… although we won’t blame you if you keep a few treats for yourself!

A little afternoon tea, the Hathren way. ☕️
This week is Afternoon Tea Week — so we’re putting the kettle on and bringing a little taste of West Wales to the table.
Think buttery Welsh cakes, rich Bara Brith and our indulgent chocolate brownies, all handmade in small batches in our farmhouse kitchen.
For Afternoon Tea Week, we’re offering complimentary UK delivery on orders over £30, from 10–16 August.
Perhaps it’s time to make an afternoon of it.
