Received this letter from today accusing us of operating a food business from my home address. Apparently, it’s acting on a ‘tip’. Those of you who know how much I HATE cooking and baking will understand why Harriet burst out laughing when she read the letter. My home is the registered address of our business. This isn’t the first time that malicious anonymous accusations have been made against us and, as you can imagine, we’re not over the moon about it. I’ve notified the council that this is ridiculous and also submitted a FOI request to find out where the ‘information’ came from. As ever, we (especially Amber, my photo bomber!) are delighted to serve you home-made cakes etc from our beautiful, newly decorated BUSINESS premises. Anyone else agree that maybe Cheshire East could actually ask whether it’s true, rather than treating it as fact? Also, it’s rather ironic that King St has been misspelled! PS If anyone would like to pop round for a cup of tea, just pm me and I’ll give you my address - unfortunately, I only serve decaf M&S Earl Grey (teabags), instant coffee (Milicano) and Aldi biscuits, as I don’t stock our extensive tea selection, our fabulous coffee (thanks Marco ) and I don’t like cake! Oh, and I have no milk. 🫖🍰😤

Sue appreciation post!! Most people don’t even realise she’s a co-owner. Working from home, day in and out, on the boring, thankless, but necessary tasks- accounts, site maintenance and all other admin involved for running a small business. The Tea Room would fall apart without Mum. She also has to do all this work while looking after our three naughty dachshunds. Thank you, we love you. ❤️
