Did you know Glen Clova once had its own castle?

Clova Castle stood above the glen near the hamlet of Clova, with its history dating back centuries.

Very little of the castle survives today, but a fragment of its circular stair tower can still be seen, along with the remains and foundations of what was once the main building.

It’s an easy piece of Glen Clova’s history to pass without realising what once stood there.

The next time you’re exploring the glen, keep an eye out — there’s history hidden all around us.
