Thank-you so much to the Stromness community for welcoming and supporting us once again last weekend, think we’re just recovering! It was amazing and very humbling. The whole team have put in some long hours last week to make it all happen but a very special shout out has to go to the Orkney Folk Festival committee who put in the same hours, if not more, completely for free! They create a very special thing for locals and visitors and navigate everything with professionalism and grace. Thanks, also, to Owen, Allannah and the Kirkuvagr team for being so easy to work with and pulling together a well run venue with class service.

Due to circumstances outwith our control, the Beiting and Brew van will no longer be in attendance in Stromness this weekend. Fortunately we’ve got alternative plans and the hatch will be open 2pm - 9pm from the West End Guesthouse on Saturday instead.

Please note service from the community centre is not affected by this update! Keep an eye out here for the menu we’ll be serving from the trailer tomorrow, we hope to see you there!

It’s Folk Festival! 🎻🎶

We have got a busy few days in Stromness and can’t wait to get stuck in as of today! We will be running two menus from Stromness Community Centre alongside a bar run by The Orkney Distillery.

Community Centre Opening Hours:
Thursday - 5.30pm - 1am
Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 11.30am - 1am

Please note - Food service will end at 10pm every evening and orders will not be taken for the first 45 minutes of performances.

We will also have Beiting and Brew parked at the Pier Head serving a burger menu Friday and Saturday. 🍔

Beiting and Brew Opening Hours:
Friday - 5pm - 9pm
Saturday - 11am - 9pm

🚨 WE’RE BACK 🚨

It is brilliant to see the hatch open once again, this time at the West End! We’re delighted that our food trailer will be in attendance for the reopening celebrations this weekend, we’ll be open Saturday 12-8.

Come along, grab a bite, enjoy a drink, and help us welcome the return of a much loved local spot. 🍻

We’ve got a busy few weeks ahead, with the Folk Festival kicking off next weekend, so keep your eyes peeled for further updates and menus.

After 6 years of perfecting every recipe behind the scenes, we’re so excited to finally share something special… introducing, Dolly’s Sauces!

From day one at Beiting & Brew, we’ve made all our sauces in-house and now you can take them home with you.

Launching Friday 1st May from Dolly Burger, choose from:
- Sweet Tomato
- Banana Ketchup
- Devil Dolly Ketchup
- Buckie BBQ

Keep an eye on our socials to find out where else you can grab a bottle, and stay tuned as online ordering is coming very soon for those afield!

A little bit of exciting news from us…

We’re thrilled to share that Orkney Street Food, including our sister business, Dolly Burger, has been shortlisted for a Highlands & Islands Food and Drink Award! 🍾 🍔

It honestly means the world to be recognised alongside so many amazing producers and businesses across the region. We’re super proud of what we’ve built so far, and it wouldn’t be possible without all of your support (and your appetites!)

Thank you to everyone who’s supported Orkney Street Food from the start, be it a visit to Beiting and Brew, Dolly’s, or at any of the events we’ve hosted over the years, if you’ve spread the word, or kept us busy. We appreciate you more than you know.

We’re really looking forward to returning to the Folk Festival Lounge this year, last year was brilliant seeing people from all over the world enjoying Orkney at it’s finest. Working alongside the Orkney Distillery and having a front row seat to all the fantastic talent was a bonus too! Bring on 2026!
