🌟 WE’RE HIRING – DUTY MANAGER 🌟
The Selkirk Arms Hotel, Kirkcudbright

Are you an outgoing people person who enjoys making guests feel welcome? We’re looking for a friendly, capable individual to join our duty management team.

You’ll be a welcoming face of the business, helping keep our day-to-day operation running smoothly. Your role will include:

🍽️ Hosting the restaurant at lunch and dinner
🛎️ Checking guests in and helping them settle into their stay
👥 Managing the team and sharing responsibilities on shift
✨ Delivering warm, attentive service for our hotel guests and diners

We’ll provide plenty of training and support, but you’ll need a hospitality background and experience in guest care and food service. A positive attitude, clear communication and a willingness to get stuck in are essential!

🕒 Shifts: 7am–3pm or 2.30pm–10pm
📅 Four or five days per week, to suit your circumstances.

🎓 AYLA IS ESCAPING!! 🎓

A huge thank you and good luck to Ayla Ramsay, who, after three years with us, has decided there might actually be life beyond the utopian paradise of Kirkcudbright and is heading off to university! 😂

We’ve watched Ayla grow from a slightly quieter member of the team into a confident young lady who can now handle customers, colleagues and, most impressively, the management without batting an eyelid!

It’s been an absolute pleasure watching her confidence grow over the last three years, and while we’re sorry to see her go, we’re delighted to see her heading off on her next big adventure.

So good luck, Ayla! Work hard, have fun, make questionable decisions only occasionally, and remember — when the student loan runs out, The Selkirk will still be here! 😂
