Thank you all so much for your support in our first week of opening at Low Moor Road!!

Saturday for our opening day celebrations was more than any of us ever could have imagined, the queue started at 11.30am and didn’t end until 9.30pm 😳

I just want to say a massive thank you for the entire community for getting behind us but an even bigger thank you to the Gambles team who worked incredibly hard all day on Saturday, I’m beyond proud of all of you 💕

I can’t thank you all enough for the amazing support I’ve received not only in the past couple of months but since we opened Gambles back in 2022.

I’m incredibly excited to announce that Gambles 2 is coming to Kirkby-in-Ashfield!

That’s right… a second Gambles shop is officially opening! 🥳

I’m beyond humbled for your support over the last four years and love serving all of you. After a lot of hard work I’m excited to announce the purchase of Low Moor Road. Never did I imagine this would be possible but with the support of our local community it’s actually happening. 🥹

Me and my team have loved serving our customers in Annesley, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring the Gambles experience to even more of you in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

🩷 Meet the team 🩷

🌟 Meet the faces behind the magic! Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing the amazing people who make our team so special. We believe people are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re excited to introduce you to the wonderful members of our team.

First up is Gambles owner me, Megan (admittedly I’m not great at social media) 😂 hence why it’s taken almost four years to introduce myself. Most people don’t know that the shop is mine (they usually assume it’s the man behind the range) I’ve never been fussed as it doesn’t bother me. But it is, just mine.

After careful consideration of the name for the shop I chose my surname as I really wanted to create a family driven shop for the entire community to enjoy.
I bought the shop back in 2022 in my late 20s with a dream of building a business based on tradition.

We opened on Christmas Eve 2022. Naively I didn’t realise how hard it was going to be and the hard work that was ahead. As you can imagine I couldn’t afford many staff so in the first couple of years everything was done by myself and with the help of my poor parents who were meant to be enjoying there retirement, now helping me prep every morning! I always wanted to build a great team and treat them how I want to be treated, people I could call not just employees but friends.

These people I’ll be introducing you too over the next couple of weeks. Anyway more about me, I was born in the good old kings mill hospital and have lived locally my entire life.

Before I bought the shop I represented both England and Great Britain travelling the world doing the sport I loved. I adore travelling! I also love animals and have always had horses and dogs. I’m super country and happiest when in wellies.
I’m constantly striving to be the best and believe me I take everything to heart! I want to be number one and I have a vision to grow gambles (watch out McDonald’s 😉)

I’m so excited to introduce the very first member of our team!

Meet Dawn 👋

She joined us as at the very beginning and we’re super lucky to have her! Dawn brings a passion for organising and being problem solver of the shop and is dedicated to making sure every customer has the best possible experience.

A few fun facts about Dawn:
✨ Favourite drink: Diet Coke
✨ Favourite hobby: All things country related especially seeing live country music
✨ Go-to snack: Chips with loads of salt and vinegar!
✨ Fun fact: I love dogs! A sausage for the dog is my favorite part of an order 🤣

My favourite Gambles order for myself is a Mini Fish Special with mushy peas 😋
