Neon IPA is the kind of coffee that ignores the dress code and orders the most vivid thing on the menu 🩷 Bright, floral and unapologetically expressive, it hits the cup with apple blossom, elderflower and juicy peach, followed by a soft swirl of violet florals that hangs around long after the last sip.

Matcha and hōjicha can be seen as… Cousins? 🍵

As green tea production modernised in the early 1900s, unsalable bancha from later harvests and leftover bits of leaves, stems, and twigs accumulated that were too good to throw away.

In the 1920s, a Kyoto tea merchant began experimenting with roasting the green tea over charcoal, creating a new tea with a toasty, nutty flavour. The result is what we now know as ✨ hōjicha ✨

As hōjicha slowly makes its way into the mainstream, we wanted to brief you on the key differences between matcha and hōjicha to help you understand this new, mysterious drink. And encourage you to give it a try? 🤔

Bangin’ French toast 👍 Or in other words, perfectly crispy pieces of warm toast layered and lathered in pure maple syrup goodness. Served on a bed of rose petals with a fluffy cloud of mascarpone on top and a heavy dash of pistachios alongside fresh, perfectly ripe, juicy blueberries and raspberries.

We are looking for a talented individual, that is passionate about real and authentic hospitality, to join our Stirling cafe team at Unorthodox Roasters.

Help us grow our cafe identity in Stirling with a fierce and unwavering enthusiasm for genuine customer service and a care for all the small details. The full time role involves immaculate cleaning, food preparation and exacting coffee standards. Moreover, a willingness to work legitimately hard in a busy, buzzing environment and strengthen our reputation in the local area.

The position demands love for connecting with people and a natural willingness to go the extra mile for our customers and regular patrons. It’s relentless, tireless and demanding - that is without doubt! It is also a phenomenal opportunity to fortify our reputation as a local bastion of warmth, sensational hospitality and excellent speciality coffee.

Approx Starting Date : 1st July 2026. Long term interest is imperative. “I can only work in the summer” is unfortunately not viable.
