Last night some idiot ordered takeaway to a false address and met my driver on the side of a street. The food was worth £49 he gave my driver all fake £5 notes & disappeared my driver not knowing came to shop but our shop has a uv note checking machine which all notes are processed through we rang him he tried denying it then went to the address he provided luckily the homeowner for that address is one of the locals we know we tracked this individual to a certain address we knocked and he came straight out, acting stupid and as if he didn’t know they was all fake he quickly pulled out the cash and gave us it we want all takeaways in the area to know this individuals face as he’s tried to scam us but clearly we’re not stupid enough to just brush it under the carpet stuff like this won’t be tolerated from us and we want everyone including other local businesses in the area to see that people will do anything for a freebie but don’t realise the impact it has on a business or a person.
