JUNK YORK IS HIRING!

CHEFS/COOKS! A rare opportunity to join the Junk Soul team in York! We’re looking for a part time burger flipper to join the crew.

📍 Spark York
💰 £14.25 an hour (plus quarterly tip share)
⏰ Between 10 and 20 hours a week (1 or 2 days depending on business needs/holiday cover etc. We can work around you too)
🍔 Cooking vegan food, running food to tables, taking orders, managing Deliveroo, prepping, cleaning, everything involved with running a small kitchen. It’s a fast paced and tough job, suitable to those who can handle lone working during the quieter times mid week.

Training to those suitable. You must understand and value the ethics of a vegan business 🌱

Junk Soul Admits Meat Tastes Good…

But the murdering of animals is a little less tasty?

It feels quite blunt to be saying that the carcass of an animal tastes really good, but it does doesn’t it? And thousands of years ago; we’d be cherishing meat on our plate. But with a better understanding of what is happening to our food, a knowledge of what our bodies need and advancements in food technology, we don’t need to kill animals to survive. The catastrophic impact on our environment is directly linked to fossil fuels, deforestation and industrial agriculture. Facts.

At Junk Soul we recreate flavours that don’t need cruelty. You can still get that “meaty” hit from one of our burgers. So this a great opportunity to tell you that WE HAVE A NEW MENU! 🐷

This all feels quite click bait vibes but sometimes we gotta do what we gotta do to get our name out there, and to get our food visible. If you’re free this evening, why not come over for one of our new burgers? 🍔
