Here’s a bit of BTS…

We have a really cool algorithm, not the type that does your feed on socials - but instead the kind that crunches more numbers than Bombe (or Christopher, if you believe the Imitation Game’s narrative) could ever do. It crunches our sales data from January 2007 until today and does some trend analysis.

From there it tells us expected sales, base sizes and everything else we need to make things run like clockwork.

But, like all data… it isn’t perfect. And nights like this do that one thing that just, well, it gets it a tad wrong.

The green line is our expected sales by order number. The pink line is actual sales by number of orders. Both cumulative.

So, the anomaly of tonight caught us by surprise. There’s a little window of 20 minutes where we took more than 40% of tonight’s take.

You guys rock, but it does mean we were out of everything apart from a few 7” pizza bases by 8.15pm tonight.

Anywho, we’re back tomorrow from 5pm. Unless you want a couple of little pizzas. Although, to be fair, they could be gone too by the time you read this.

What we're sharing is a recreation of a view met by a driver last week: a customer wanted us to drive through a field full of sheep to deliver to a different field. We just want to share that our drivers are not allowed to enter fields with livestock, whether on foot or in one of our cars. We won't actually let our team drive into fields that are not dedicated camp sites (not pointing any fingers at any of our drivers, either past or present, they know who they are!)

As funny as it would be to see the boss being chased by sheep, it's not something that we can do.
