We've been asked if the sea is boiling with loads of fish still. It's not, normally it's around dusk 🐟⁣

What a night! Sprats, mackerel and bass...big fish chasing & catching smaller fish 🐟 Sinbad chasing them all and having a delicious supper 🦭🏴‍☠️ fishermen pulling out bass and mackerel 🎣⁣

Make the most of the almost end of summer on the beach watching or fishing tonight, enjoy take away or a pub meal after 🐟🍟⁣

Torcross Tank car park closure

The Torcross Tank car park will be closed from Monday 7 September 2026 until June 2027 while the Environment Agency carries out essential works to the Torcross sea defences.

We appreciate this may cause inconvenience and thank residents, businesses and visitors for their patience while these important works take place.

Alternative parking will remain available at:

✔️ Strete Gate Car Park
✔️ Slapton Memorial Car Park
✔️ Torcross Layby

Pete (the dog) in the very cool goggles and Bob from Sheffield joined us last weekend. Bob used to stay at Beesands caravan park when he was a child and came for a trip back down memory lane! Some things have changed and some have stayed the same. What lovely visitors 🐶🏍️⁣
