Hi everyone, sorry for the radio silence over Christmas & New year.
As you will be aware from my previous posts 2025 hasn't been a good year for me, we lost my mother in law suddenly in March and my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer in January and passed in September which was all very difficult to deal with.
Out of the blue 10 days before Christmas I was told my mum had just given up and she was now at end of life. I spent my time over Christmas at my mums bedside and she passed peacefully 12 days later on the 27th December. This was all very sudden and quick.
Anyone who knows me knows how devoted I was to both my parents and now I am left with a huge empty hole.. They were my world 💔

So, the reason for this post and explaining myself is I was due to re open tonight after having two weeks off over Christmas & New Year but my mums funeral is this Friday so I see no point to open tonight and tomorrow especially as I still have lots to organise on the run up to Friday, I also don't feel I will be ready to come back on Saturday so I have decided to close for this week.
We will be back open Wednesday 14th January at 5pm.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers.

At the end of every tax year I have accumulated a little pot of money from donations of 50p from every kids meal we sell in the shop which I passed on to charity, previously Kinghorn Gala.
I decided last year after hearing and reading about so many sad situations people in our local communities have found themselves in that going forward we would change it and donate to something or someone that could benefit from the help at that time.
After following the sad story of Manson in Burntisland I've decided to pass on the donation to the go fund me the family have set up.
I lost my dad three months ago, I'm 46 and he was 98, it was devastating... I can't begin to imagine how Mansons wife and children are coping in their situation, made all the more sore with the festive season highlighting family time 💔
So, a BIG thank you to all our customers who have purchased a kids meal over the last year, the donation I've made ultimately came from you.
This is our donation from April 2024 - April 2025 we sold 834 kids meals with 50p from each one donated gives a total of £417.00 which I've rounded up to include a donation from our shop to £500

Just to explain the reason why I was closed was because my father was having palliative care and I wanted to be with him, which I was, when he passed on Saturday. Maybe better for me to disclose this and hopefully reach most of my customers so they aren't coming in and asking why I've been closed. I would prefer not to talk about what I've been through so you're more than welcome to pass on your condolences here but please if you could just let me come in and do my job in the shop I would really appreciate it ♥️
I will obviously be closed again for my father's funeral but will notify my customers in due course
