Trump Linked to Surprise Purchase of Llanelli Golf Course

In a surprise announcement that left locals blinking into their morning tea, news broke today that President Donald Trump has allegedly purchased a “strategically important” golf course just outside Llanelli.
According to the totally‑real‑and-not-at-all-suspicious press release, the President was “deeply moved by the natural beauty of Carmarthenshire, especially the bit you can see from the A484 if you squint.”
Sources claim he plans to transform the course into “the most luxurious, tremendous, absolutely world‑class golfing destination West Wales has ever seen.” Early design sketches reportedly include:
• A 40‑foot golden dragon statue guarding the first tee
• A new clubhouse inspired by “classic Llanelli architecture” (which appears to be a Nando’s with pillars)
• A gift shop selling MAGA‑themed waterproofs for the Welsh weather
• A bunker on every hole, “because I know a thing or two about bunkers”
Local golfers were said to be “mildly confused but willing to see how it plays out,” while one resident insisted the whole thing was a misunderstanding after Trump misheard someone saying “It’s a tidy course, mind.”
The President is expected to visit soon to “survey the land” and “try a corned beef pasty for research purposes.”
Officials have urged the public to remain calm, carry on as normal, and remember what day it is.
