We’re often told how much people love our little place by the castle, why not see if you can help get us on this list for 2026? Nominations are open from the 3-13 August.

Whether it’s our beer offering from small independent breweries, our selection of Welsh Gins or the extensive whisky options, or maybe it’s the seasonally changing menu of small plates and mains.

Perhaps it’s sitting in the shadow of the castle having a pint in the beer garden, or maybe the feel of walking into the Moat and feeling transported to another part of the world.

Perfect weather for a pot of Welsh Mussels, cooked in Orchard Gold Cider from a bowl of our fries, and some crusty bread to mop up the sauce. Perfect with a cold glass of cider or a lovely white wine, like Marina Alta or Picpoul de pinet. On the menu for the summer.

Recap of the first couple of months this year, some fantastic dishes on offer, with our menu changing pretty much weekly it’s hard to post every dish we make. Exciting start to the year and with more produce making itself available as the weather improves look out for more fantastic plates in the next few weeks.
