We’re proud to welcome you to The Lemon Tree Cafe, located inside Erdington House, Cresswell Close — a space we've lovingly run for over a year, and now our main and only cafe, following the closure of our much-loved Willow Tree Cafe in Kidlington on 27th June.
Everything you loved about Willow Tree — warm hospitality, homestyle cooking, and that personal touch — is alive and thriving here at The Lemon Tree.

🌿 A Heartfelt Goodbye – and a New Beginning 🌿

Today marks the end of an incredible chapter as we close the doors to our beloved café after 9.5 wonderful years. We want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of you who supported us, laughed with us, and made this place feel like home. You've meant the world to us, and we’ll miss you more than words can say.

But we’re not looking back—we’re looking forward. A new adventure awaits us all in Yarnton! 🌳✨
We can't wait to welcome you there with the same warm smiles, delicious treats, and cosy atmosphere you've come to love.

📣 Important Update from The Willow Tree 🌿

To our wonderful customers and community in Kidlington,

After much thought and reflection, we want to let you know that The Willow Tree in Kidlington will be closing its doors on 27th June. This decision hasn't come easily, but due to increasing overheads—including a significant rise in rental costs—it’s no longer sustainable for us to continue operating from this location.

However, this is not goodbye—it’s see you soon! 💚

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be relocating to our other café at Erdington House in Yarnton, just a short drive away. We’d love nothing more than to welcome you there, where the same warm smiles, delicious food, and relaxing atmosphere await.

🙏 From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all your support, kindness, and loyalty over the years in Kidlington. You’ve been the heart and soul of The Willow Tree, and we hope you’ll continue the journey with us in Yarnton.

We’ll be celebrating the final few weeks here in Kidlington, so do pop in before the 27th June to say hello (and goodbye). We can’t wait to see you soon in Yarnton!

Opened in January 2016, The Willow Tree cafe is a local community cafe within an extra care facility, run by former Jamie Oliver Chef, Simon Winters and his Wife Julie. Open 7 days a week from 9am and open to all. Not too easy to find (located within Moorside Place) right next door to Forge Garage. (Use OX5 2UZ)

Offering homemade hot and cold snacks and drinks, full lunchtime menu, daily specials, homemade soups, Sunday roast, to name a few.

There is always something new on the menu.
