Today we will be thinking of a local young man who has sadly passed away in recent weeks. Our thoughts are with his family and friends ❤️

We will today be raising money for Northamptonshire Mind by donating total cake/treats sales made today to the charity.

Job Vacancy: Weekend Barista
(Part-time)
Location: The Bull Pen Cafe, Glendon
Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 9.00am to 3.30pm

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Weekend Barista to join our busy independent café team.
You’ll be the face of the café on our busiest days – creating great coffee, serving food, and delivering excellent customer service with a smile.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare high-quality coffee drinks to a consistently excellent standard
• Operate the espresso machine and maintain all coffee equipment
• Take customer orders, serve at the counter, and handle payments
• Help serve cakes, and other menu offerings
• Keep the café clean, tidy, and well-stocked during service
• Provide warm and efficient customer service
• Work effectively as part of a friendly small team

What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience ideally as a barista
• Good knowledge of coffee drinks
• Friendly, positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of customer service

Hey everyone! Our wonderful weekend team member Tom is running the marathon tomorrow for the Charity Epilepsy Action🥳💪

It sounded fun six months ago when he was sitting on the sofa eating crisps. Now his legs hate him, his running app keeps sending passive-aggressive notifications, and he has discovered muscles he didn’t know existed (and they’re all filing complaints).

To help Tom today we are donating all sales from the sweet treats counter so come along if you get a chance and help us help him reach his goal! 😀
