Exceptional musicians and songwriters in the Alt-Country Folk/Rock tradition. They released their 2nd album, Garage Palace, in 2026 to great acclaim.

Fun fact: drummer Mark Stevens produced Dunk's band The Very Lazy Sundays last EP!

Then at 5pm it's Red Lion Blues Jam - we can't wait!!!!

Friday sees the triumphant return of Quizmaster Pat and his Utterly Brilliant Quiz Nights - 7.30pm - £1 per player, max 6 people per team

Sunday we have a double whammy of great music, courtesy of - a fantastic group of musicians performing an eclectic mix of of originals and covers, from 2-4pm.

Then at 5pm it's the return of our Legendary Red Lion Blues Jam 😁

Fri 7th Aug - our debut appearance at the birthplace of Reading; Plumpton Revival 🥳

Sat 8th Aug - we’re back in sunny Kettering to rock out at The Wayfarers Inn once more, music from 9pm 🤘🏻

We are very sorry to say that Hitch Event Catering will not be here today. We have asked them to immediately contact anyone who made a booking, and we sincerely hope they have honoured this.

We are really sorry for the disappointment, and as this is the second time this has happened in as many months, we will not be inviting them back.

Unfortunately this means there'll be no Sunday roast today, as we've not had time to prep. We can still offer the usual from 1-4pm once Dunk's got back from Bookers!

On the pumps today:

Hunt Edwards was a popular ale that disappeared decades ago; the recipe for which was procured by Dead Brewers Society. They've teamed up with Vale (producers of Red Kite, Gravitas etc), and together they have revived this rather excellent limited-edition brown ale.

It's already proving a gert lush guzzler, so grab a pint whilst you can!

What a whopper of a weekend it's been so far, and it's far from over yet!

Utterly Brilliant Quiz Nights on Friday, Hire' em Fire' em were absolutely banging, which brings us to today's shenanigans:

We'll have some sublime Jazz in the restaurant, curated by Clark Tracey, starting around 1pm,

And we're mahoosively looking forward to our Red Lion Blues Jam at 5pm featuring the return of Aiden Pryor and Steph Ashcroft!!!!

Food available throughout the day till 6pm

Please note, Dunk's got a gig with The Very Lazy Sundays Friday evening, so he won't be in the kitchen. Therefore, for one night only, feel free to order in!

Saturday: the return of the legends Hire' em Fire' em - maximum Texas Blues! 8pm-ish

Sunday: a double bill of Sunday Afternoon Jazz with our own Clark Tracey and friends, 1.30pm, followed by Red Lion Blues Jam at 5pm!!!
Hitch Event Catering return next week, so get booking! In the meantime, our regular menu and our own limited edition Sunday roast with a twist will be available 12-5pm
