❤️ The End of an Era… and the Start of a New Chapter ❤️
After 10 amazing years, we can finally share that Jasper’s Keswick has been sold.
The business is now owned by George and Meera, who already own Merienda, Casa Bella and The Ivy House in Braithwaite. We know Jasper’s is going to great people and is in safe hands.
The shop will remain open this weekend before closing for refurbishment. The plan is to reopen around mid-July, and we’re excited to see what George and Meera do with the place. We wish them every success for the future. 🥂
As for us, we’d just like to say thank you.
Thank you to every customer who has walked through our doors over the last decade. Whether you popped in every day, every week, or just happened to find us while visiting Keswick, you’ve helped make Jasper’s what it is today.
Thank you to the staff who have worked with us over the years. We’ve been incredibly lucky to work alongside some fantastic people and we wish every one of you all the very best for the future. 🥂
Thank you to our landlords, suppliers, tradespeople and everyone who helped keep things running. A special mention to Carvetii, who supported us from the very beginning — when we knew very little about coffee and even less about running a coffee shop! ☕😂
Most of all, thank you to our family and friends. You’ve listened to the moaning, celebrated the wins, helped us through the difficult times. We couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️
Owning Jasper’s has been an adventure. There have been highs, lows and more than a few stressful moments, but overall it has been a hugely positive experience and one we’ll always look back on with fond memories.
For those asking what’s next… we’re not disappearing completely.
We’ve got a few exciting ideas taking shape behind the scenes and, in time, we hope to bring a little of the Jasper’s spirit to the Newcastle area.
