The Keswick Hotel is only two minutes walk from the bustling market town of Keswick, with its eclectic mix of shops, pubs and restaurants. For the adventurous, Lake Derwentwater offers a variety of water sports with numerous walks and mountain bike trails beginning at its shores. More energetic, but equally popular, are climbs to the summit of Latrigg, Skiddaw and Blencathra. The Hotel offers the prime location from which to visit many famous attractions throughout the Lake District, such as Lake Windermere, England’s longest lake, The World of Beatrix Potter exhibition at Bowness-on-Windermere and the poet William Wordsworth’s first home, ‘Dove Cottage’. 🍂 Well hello, September! 🍂

How did that happen?! One minute we were welcoming summer and suddenly September has strolled in. 😳
Now, before anyone looks out of the window and wonders what happened overnight… we haven’t quite turned this autumnal just yet! 😂🍁 Our gardens are still looking decidedly green, but we thought we’d give you a little preview of what Mother Nature has in store for us over the coming weeks.
And what a show it is! 🍁 Soon the greens will begin turning to beautiful shades of gold, amber and red, creating that spectacular autumn scenery that makes the Lake District such a special place to visit at this time of year.
Crisp mornings, gorgeous colours, peaceful walks, cosy evenings and some of the most beautiful scenery of the year — there’s an awful lot to love about autumn in the Lakes. 🥰
So here’s to a fabulous September and the start of a rather beautiful season ahead.

Trevor's back 😱🐰...We're starting to think he has secretly joined the SAS... 🎯🐇
He's clearly completed advanced stealth training!!
His latest trick? Sitting perfectly still inside a plant pot with only his mouth moving while quietly deleting the flowers around him.
You don't see him arrive.
You don't see him leave.
You just wonder why the flowers seem to be getting shorter by the minute.
So, to all our lovely guests relaxing in the gardens and enjoying the sunshine... keep your eyes peeled! 👀☀️ If one of the plant pots appears to be chewing, you've found Trevor!!!

🐰 Please don't tell the Company Directors...😱

Trevor has developed some rather expensive tastes. Apparently, our beautiful potted flowers are actually his personal salad bar. 🌸🥗

The cheeky little rascal looks far too cute to be guilty... but we know the truth.

Our biggest worry? He discovers the hanging baskets... or worse, the window boxes! 🤦‍♀️😂

Let's just keep this between us, shall we? 🤫💛

🎉🎸 Warning! A major milestone has been reached... Rob is 50 today! 🎸🎉

Our fantastic Reception Manager has officially joined the 50 Club... but don't worry, he's still in perfect working order (most of the time! 😉).

When he's not busy welcoming guests with a smile, you'll usually find him:📸 Taking photos so good they make the rest of us look like we photographed them with a potato.🎸 Playing his guitar and pretending he's headlining Glastonbury.🥾 Walking the fells, probably searching for the next perfect photo... or just trying to escape us for a few hours!

They say life begins at 50, so we're expecting even bigger things from you now, Rob... although remembering where you left your glasses might become a little more challenging! 🤣

Have an amazing birthday, Rob. Thanks for everything you do and for being such a brilliant part of The Keswick Country House Hotel team.

Sir David, we’ve spent many peaceful afternoons hopping through the gardens, perfecting our camouflage and nibbling the finest greenery… all while imagining what it would be like to hear your iconic voice narrating our adventures:

"Here we see the elusive Keswick garden rabbit, cautiously emerging at dawn in search of the finest hotel flowers..." 🌸👀

Thank you for a lifetime of helping humans appreciate the wonders of the natural world (and for making rabbits seem rather fascinating too).

🐰🌿 Happy National Pet Day from the Garden Crew! 🌿🐰

It’s a chilly morning out here, so as you can see, we’ve sensibly put on our cardigans. Practical. Stylish. Essential.

Now, today is and while we (the garden rabbits) would like to remind everyone that we are absolutely not pets — we do very much enjoy all the lovely guests who visit with theirs 🐶🐱

We’ve even been joined this morning by Hilda and Matilda… also dressed for the weather. Coincidence? We think not.

So today, we want to celebrate YOUR pets — the fluffy, the feathery, the scaly, and everything in between.

Excuse me hoomans… this is your official reminder that the clocks go forward tonight! ⏰➡️

Yes… we are aware this means you lose an hour of sleep.
Tragic. Devastating. Truly a difficult time for you all. 😌

Please try not to be irritable tomorrow…
deep breaths… maybe a nap… maybe a carrot (we won’t share ours).

Anyway—moving on to what actually matters…
SPRING IS HERE! 🌼🥕☀️

Which means:
🌱 Premium-grade fresh grass is now in season
🥕 Carrots should be crispier, juicier, and more frequent
☀️ Longer days = more time to admire us

As for us?
We’ll be carrying on as normal…
bright-eyed, bushy-tailed, and absolutely ready for breakfast at the usual time. 😌

🐰🌷 A message from the Garden Rabbits at Keswick Country House Hotel 🌷🐰

Hello humans… yes, it’s us again 👀🐇
The very important (and extremely fluffy) garden rabbits here at Keswick Country House Hotel.

As everyone knows, Easter and rabbits go hand in paw… it’s basically our time to shine ✨🥕
HOWEVER… nobody mentioned this would involve a full-scale Easter marketing photoshoot 📸🐣

We were told it would be “a quick snap”…
Next thing we know – there’s a camera crew, posing instructions, and…
the bonnets 🎩🐰😒

Let’s just be very clear:
we did NOT approve the bonnets.
We did not discuss the bonnets.
We did not emotionally prepare for the bonnets.

We’ve been told they’re “festive”…
we think they’re “career damaging”…

And yet… here we are…
posing like professionals, working our best angles, and serving premium Easter content 🐰✨📸

So naturally, while being forced into seasonal modelling, we’ve also taken it upon ourselves to have a little hop around and check things out… purely for research purposes, of course 😌🐾

And guess what…
There is still availability over the Easter period! 🐣🌼

That means there’s still time to enjoy a lovely spring break, relax in the countryside, and maybe even spot us in the gardens…
(yes… still in the bonnets… send help) 🌿😂
