Happy Sunday One And All. We are so excited to be opening our doors tomorrow - and look forward to welcoming you all back. The coffee machine is warming up, Alex has fully limbered her frothing arm and cakes are baking as we speak. HAPPY MONDAY EVE!

And that’s it from us. What more can we say (but in true marketplace form we will!)

Today is a day we never wanted to write about.

As we close the doors of The Marketplace, we just want to say one thing
 thank you.

From the very beginning, you welcomed us into your lives. Whether you popped in every morning for a coffee, celebrated special occasions with us, supported our events, or simply stopped by for a chat, you helped make The Marketplace so much more than just a café. You made it a community.

To our incredible team, thank you for your hard work, loyalty and commitment. You gave your all every single day, often going above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to have shared this journey with.

To our suppliers, thank you for believing in us, supporting us and helping us along the way. We are incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built over the past few months.

We’d also like to say a special thank you to Mandy and everyone at The Red Lion, and to our wonderful village shop. On more than one occasion, when we found ourselves in a pickle, you were there to help without hesitation. Those acts of kindness meant far more than you probably realise, and are a perfect example of what makes this community so special.

Running an independent business has been one of the hardest things we’ve ever done, but also one of the most rewarding. We’ve laughed, celebrated, made lifelong friends and created memories that we’ll treasure forever.

Although this chapter is ending, we’re hopeful it won’t be the end of the story for this wonderful building. There are some positive conversations taking place, and with a little luck, we hope it won’t be too long before the doors open again with a fresh new chapter for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for every coffee, every meal, every kind word, every recommendation and every bit of support you’ve shown us.

We’ll miss you all more than words can say.

Good morning! Happy Friday!

Today we have the excellent coffee and walnut cake back in! But grab yours quickly as this one always sells out!

We have tables available tonight for ÂŁ12 Friday and we are still serving lunch until 2.

Next week will be breakfasts as normal and a fairly reduced lunch menu and we won’t be open in the evening.

We hope to get to say goodbye to all our regulars before we close on Friday:
