We hope everyone’s had a brilliant bank holiday ! We just wanted to let the people of Kendal know that there is a new website for Mumbai Restaurant, you can find the new menu on this website.

The new owners and management have added brand new and tasty dishes to the menu, you can still call on 01539 723787 to order a takeout or book a table.

Please try out the new dishes that they have to offer and we hope the food and service will be as great as it was before, hopefully even better !

Dear Kendal community,

Looking back at the pictures since we closed on Sunday makes us reminsique more than just the night, but the last 20 years we have shared with you all. Thank you all so much! ❣️💫

As we move on from the memories created in our beloved home in the Lake District, Mumbai Restaurant will remain but under new ownership, with new staff, and a fantastic new cheff! As you have supported us over the years please go ahead and support them too! 🥂🍽️

Dear Kendal Community,

After 20 unforgettable years of serving the best Indian cusine, it is time we hang up our aprons and bid farewell to Kendal.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the retirement of Mumbai Restaurant. Abdul, Ala, and Salim want to express our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support, loyalty, and love throughout these years.

To our wonderful friends in Kendal, you have truly become family to us. Your patronage and friendship have meant the world to us, and we will forever cherish the bonds we've formed over shared meals and conversations.

Our final day of business will be Sunday 21 April. Until then, please continue to come in and enjoy our food. If you have been gifted vouchers come in and use them!
