🎯 SPECTATORS WANTED!

Well… you lot have only gone and done it!

Our Speed Pétanque Mêlée this Sunday is SOLD OUT — for players! 😲

We’ve got 40 players taking to the pistes from 10am, which means there’s going to be plenty of action, plenty of boules and, we suspect, a healthy amount of competitive spirit!

But now we need YOU…

The players are sorted. The pistes are full. The bar is open.

All we’re missing is an audience!

So come along this Sunday, 13th September, grab a drink, settle in and watch the action unfold. You don’t need to know your boules from your boulettes — just bring yourself and enjoy the atmosphere.

🎯 SPEED PÉTANQUE IS COMING UP THIS SUNDAY! 🎯

Fancy something a little different this weekend?

This Sunday, 13th September, the pistes at The Red Lion are getting busy for a full day of non-stop Speed Pétanque!

The fun kicks off from 10am, with changing playing partners, plenty of games and a lovely sociable atmosphere. Whether you’re a seasoned boules player, fancy giving it a go, or just want to come along, have a drink and see what all the fuss is about — you’re very welcome.

🌞🔥 After an extended summer holiday, during heatwave after heatwave, where even CAMRA diehards were reaching for the ice cold lagers - we’re very pleased to announce the return of Courage Directors to our stable.

One of the finest English beers there is, it will start conditioning from Tuesday morning and we expect it to drop bright by the weekend.

🌳🚨GAME WEEK 21 SQUAD🚨🌳

The 2nd Team play their last home game of the 2026 season this week as they host Asian Sports 2.

The away fixture earlier in the season saw Kegworth suffer a heavy defeat with a wicket each for Alex Fitchett and Felix Cooper and Aditya Babar top scoring with 31 runs.

Carl Sutton, Alex Fitchett and Jacob Dewick come back into the side.

The 1st team have their last away game of 2026 as they travel to Billesdon. Both teams are still able to gain promotion, so this is a crucial game for both teams!

The home fixture earlier in the season saw Kegworth claim a 4 wicket win, with highlights being 5 wickets for Jack Towers and 61 runs for Captain Seth Jackson.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team at The Red Lion! 🦁👀 We are a busy, wet-led pub known for exceptional customer service, so a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and work amongst our already fabulous team is a must.

- 20-25 hours per week
- Prior bar experience is required
- Applicants must be 18+
- Applicants must be available to work in the afternoons throughout the week and occasionally an evening shift during the week or over the weekend

The 1st team are at home again this weekend, hosting Kibworth 2.

The away fixture earlier in the season saw Kegworth take a 3 wicket victory, with highlights being 57 from Lewis Wales and 2 for 43 from Iain Corrie.

And Corrie comes back into the side this week, which also sees Jon Wall and Ned Bosworth return.
