Come and visit - we are so much more than a garden centre. All enquiries please call 01835 830315 Woodside Plant Centre & Birdhouse Tearoom is an independently-owned, family-run business set in a beautiful Victorian walled garden in the Scottish Borders. We are open every day, all year round except Christmas and New Year. Our opening times are 10am - 5pm March to October, and 10am - 4pm from November to February. Check our website or phone for festive opening hours. Our Plant Centre has a wide variety of plants, including trees, fruit bushes, shrubs, vegetable plants, bedding plants and herbaceous depending on the season. We also have a shop in which you can find gardening accessories, an excellent range of wildlife and wild bird care products and a selection of cards and gifts suitable for gardeners and non-gardeners alike. NEW for 2020 is our groceries section, which is well stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables and dried food products such as lentils, yeast, dried fruits, curry sauces, naan breads and our range of frozen kitchen ready meals. The Birdhouse Tearoom is a friendly, warm place to enjoy a snack, lunch or just a cup of tea. We have plenty of space to sit outside, and we usually have a gazebo or two up in the garden to keep you dry. We serve soups and sandwiches, as well as specials, but it is really our cakes and scones we are known for - all baked at Woodside. Don't forget bacon rolls served in the mornings. Our takeaway service is very popular this year, but if you prefer to sit in it's a good idea to book a table. We are proud that our tearoom doesn't have internet access, allowing you to chat and socialise without interruption - this also means we can't accept Facebook enquiries for bookings, so please phone on 01835 830315.
