Alex absolutely loved our weekly Card Bingo, and it was something he always looked forward to. So, this Thursday, we’ll be playing the game he loved, raising a glass, and remembering Alex together 🍻❤️

For Malcolm, his family and everyone at the Stag & Hounds, Alex’s passing has left an enormous hole. We hope Thursday evening will be a lovely way for everyone who knew and loved him to come together again, share some memories and celebrate his life.

We’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible.

It is with great sadness that we have to share the heartbreaking news that our landlord Malcolm beloved son, Alex James, sadly passed away on Friday, 7th August 2026, aged just 29.

Alex was born on 11th September 1996, and his passing has left Malcolm and his family facing an unimaginable loss.

At this incredibly difficult time, we would like to show our love and support to Malcolm and his family. A GoFundMe has been set up to help towards the costs of Alex’s funeral, and any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much to the family.
