Had a great chat yesterday worry a few chaps re the footie of the café and how this venue can support youngsters and also build a charity base - obviously we still wait to hear from the council with limitations to the lease and issues with the utilities - which of course proposals have been made to move this into the future.

I'm the meantime and a reminder the café is now OPEN 11-3pm

A reminder that whilst the café operations are currently closed the café can still be hired out for special occasions.

I'm everything about integrity, honour and loyalty.

At this point the main café will be closed to the 28th of July for necessary work that is needed.

Please note also the café has never been on my lease hence the difficulties I face.

In the meantime we will offer snacks, sausage rolls, cream Ts and sandwiches / rolls in the golf shop.

We can focus more on the golf now, that being the main income driver, this will be the driver to improve further the golf courses.

I have submitted a new business proposal to the council so we shall need to be patient and wait their response. The new business proposal will most definitely help take browns into a new era considering the big decline in holiday makers.

To keep everyone updated

Rather then keep the golf shop open I'll keep the main café open, due to rain. The café will be open tomorrow until Thursday 10.30-1 pending customers numbers.

The main café will be closed Friday and Saturday.

Saturday we are hosting a wedding day/night and are excited to join in with the celebrations.

The sunshine is back Sunday, yeayyy☀️☀️

That window of opportunity on the island is shrinking each year and with the government anchors also hospitality businesses are suffering.

Seeing so many businesses shut Inc pubs it's difficult to see where we are all heading.

The island businesses, also have additional factors which are keeping customers away which includes road works, ferry pricing.

I have spoken to do many owners it's such difficult times that's for sure.

Some, few, customers need to understand how businesses function to understand why they don't open each day. Simply if the bills out way the income it's common sense to close.

We have tried so many different things and will continue to do so.

I will be submitting a new business plan to the council tomorrow with new proposals which will help take this venue into the future considering all the current pressures mentioned.
