Offering all day breakfast, hot chips, homemade soup, fresh rolls, chilli con carne, fresh salads, kids meals, and more! The Chuck Wagon was first established in 1980 in Irvine, North Ayrshire and has been sited at just about every corner of the Springbank Retail Park car park before becoming a permanent takeaway restaurant next to Farmfoods in February 2012. Although the area has changed a lot in

the last four decades, The Chuck Wagon has grown to offer 70+ food items on the menu for you to take away and enjoy with your family. The secret to great food and coffee in Irvine is a friendly welcome, great variety of quality food and importantly, great prices - all of which we offer to you at The Chuck Wagon. The Chuck Wagon also offers Daily Specials, an All Day Breakfast, Children's Meals and much more. To save time, you can even phone your order ahead - or order on the North Ayrshire Eats app! In fine Scottish weather, you can wait inside in a warm and toasty customer waiting area and on the rare occasion that the sun is out, you can enjoy sitting in the patio area while having a bite to eat. Located outside of The Chuck Wagon next to the car park is a life-saving defibrillator - because every second counts if someone has a cardiac arrest. While we all hope it never needs used, the defibrillator is enthusiastically supported by the local Irvine community. The cabinet comes with a key lock system and the access code will be given out by ambulance control 24/7 to anyone who calls 999 and reports a cardiac arrest in the area.

Wishing Stephen all the very best as he begins a new career in civil engineering after nearly 8 years with the Chuck Wagon!

Way back in 2018, we hired Stephen as a Catering Assistant. As he was still attending school, and was busy volunteering as a Scout Leader, Stephen wanted the flexibility of working on the weekends - but he didn't stop there.

Stephen completed a Modern Apprenticeship in Catering Skills in 2021, demonstrating how much he valued customers and preparing and serving delicious food at the Chuck Wagon.

He became a full-time member of the team in 2020. And he's always happy to pass on his knowledge and skills by mentoring new team members.

I know Stephen will be missed by both our customers and fellow team members.

Training and mentoring aren't just catchphrases to us. Way back in January 2018, we hired Stephen as a Catering Assistant. As he was still attending school, and was busy volunteering as a Scout Leader, Stephen wanted the flexibility of working on the weekends - but he didn't stop there.

And he's always happy to pass on his knowledge and skills, mentoring new team members and teaching our longer serving staff new tricks at the same time!

Stephen recently commenced a second Modern Apprenticeship in Supervisory and Management Skills with Development Scotland, and we can't wait to see what he does next.

We love our customers - you are truly part of the Chuck Wagon Family!

Say "hello" to Davy. Davy has made visits to the Chuck Wagon part of his routine over the last four years - he says that he enjoys the variety of food we offer, and of course, the friendly banter with our staff.

His favourite dish changes every day. Davy might order chips and mince, a black pudding roll, a sliced sausage roll, or a cheeky wee request for a roll and scrambled egg (which we're happy to make to order if we're not too busy!). All washed down with a coffee, milk & two!

Happy New Year!

As you can see I managed to keep myself busy with a bit of DIY while we were closed.

Building a new customer counter, sweetie and crisp display accomplished with some help from Jack (not Jack Daniels - honest!).

This rejig has also created more space for customers to stay cosy in the winter months.

We open at 8.45am tomorrow morning (Friday 3rd Jan).
