Centuries ago, Dog’s Head Street was just a narrow medieval lane running past Ipswich’s bustling cattle markets! 🐂

Here are a few quick facts about this local icon:
✂️ Shrunk by Progress: In the late 1880s, the street was widened to fit new tramways. To make room, the historic 17th-century pub building was drastically cut back in size!
🕺 The 80s Phase: Long before its sports bar days, it had a stint in the 1980s as a popular multi-bar nightclub called Blades, before proudly returning to its original name, The Plough.
Next time you pop in for a pint or to catch a game, you’re standing in hundreds of years of Ipswich history! 🍺✨
