Established in 1964, the Taj Mahal was one of the very first Indian restaurants in Ipswich & indeed in Suffolk and the whole of East Anglia. Taj Mahal was one of the first Indian restaurants in Suffolk and is probably one of the oldest in East Anglia. It was established in the summer of 1964 and since then we have been catering to all tastes. Our patrons and well known personalities of past and present have tasted the exquisite Indian food prepared by our highly experienced chef. Our chef’s use traditional ingredients to produce some of the finest culinary dishes probably ever tasted. Please allow sufficient time for our chef to prepare your meal. The restaurant is fully licensed and air conditioned so that we can try and provide our customers with quality service and a nice friendly atmosphere so that they feel comfortable and relaxed. We have a seating capacity of sixty and can cater for parties of up to that figure. A takeaway service is also available
