📢📢📢 BIG long Announcement 📢📢📢

Today is a special date for so many reasons. Just 5 years after starting Whisk and nearly 4 years from opening the cafe, and having this picture taken, it is time to hang up my apron.

It was a year ago to the day when I also started a very special journey that resulted in Nya being born. It's made me realise this baby needs me a lot more than my first business baby, and I want to enjoy being a mummy 💕 Everyone said my life would change but I never understood how much something so small could do that until she arrived.

In the next few weeks, Cawdor Deli will change hands, allowing me to close the door on business life. I am excited to see what they have in store for the Deli.

I am so proud and thankful for how far the business and I have come in this 5 years. It has definitely had its challenges, but it has had so many more positive outcomes and happy memories. I have met some incredible people, team members, and customers, I now call friends and enjoy coffee in other cafes, which I will continue. I can't have this announcement without mentioning the incredible Iwona who has been a huge asset to Whisk/Cawdor being my right hand woman and allowing me to have my first precious months off to be a mum. You are superwoman 🦸‍♀️

This whole business life and way of living definitely couldn't have been possible without my mum. I hope one day I am as awesome as a mum as her, that is for sure 💕

I want to thank every single person who has made my dream a reality, but I have new dreams with a tiny human to embark on. But for now, she has a few shifts to join me on, and I hope you all pop in to see us before we say our final goodbyes 👋

This should be a special time, and I'm trying so hard to keep it like that 🫧

Thanks sooo much to all the messages I have had and help in getting all evidence to police and solicitors. I am now leaving it to them. I have plenty showing the truth.

I really shouldn't have to put up with all this hate anytime, but when I have just had a baby, it seems even harder. Mental health is a big thing and affects people differently. Shame that the person causing this can't actually think how much it has affected them and what damage it can cause to others.

I am now coming off social media, and no business or personal page will be updated after Saturday for the foreseeable.

Well what a year 2024 was.

5 years in business and it definitely has been the hardest one yet. Loads more challenges than achievements for sure. It makes you think alot about what works, what doesn't and how to move forward and still smile. Lots of focus on self belief whilst pregnant is way too difficult for sure.

Whisk had a great year with outside catering events but moving to a location which was sold as cafe when in actual facts is an office forced the closure of our baby. That itself has enough legal obstacles to blow your mind. We have several events in the summer and we will focus on them before even thinking about next steps there.

Cawdor had more positives with extension of opening hours, alcohol license been approved and pizza nights went down really well too. Loads was planned for 2024 but everything in the background made that difficult to achieve. The shop aspect of it has never really worked so we have reduced our offerings to the more Deli like foods, more lunch options and the household aisle. This will make way for a bigger kitchen to be able to launch our bistro evening menu and bring Whisks baking onto the premises.
2025 however will see Cawdor Deli go on the market for someone who can put all their energy into it. I have another bigger focus that I want to enjoy and cherish so this has been a difficult decision but one I know is for best.

Personally I had the biggest achievement of my life growing a baby and now that my due date has come and gone we are holding out for a great start to 2025. My life goals and ambitions have massively changed. I haven't stopped for years and I have loved that but I now need to slow down and enjoy becoming a mum and cherish every moment.

Thanks for all the support and love in 2024 but here's to 2025 I can't wait to see the back of 2024 for sure 🥰

Sad news

Only 1 more week to enjoy a Mexican until further notice.

Unfortunately even after much negotiation and back and forth with relevant people we can no longer trade in this unit. Whisk was sold a lease that is non functional and should not be trading any food business in the premise. With Nyomi due a baby any day she closed Whisk doors in November to try and sort but it has now become very clear that is not able to happen.

Time to walk away and enjoy a new baby and see what happens in the future.

Hopefully a new unit or kitchen will come up to build Bellissimo Burrito in the future. Whisk kitchen will move to Cawdor and continue doing outside catering events.

But for now time to enjoy one last Burrito this year you have a week left 🌯 🥑 🇲🇽

It's with a heavy heart after alot of thought and back and forth with everything we have decided to shut Wee Whisk for the rest of the year at least.

It has been an incredibly hard year and savings only go so far unfortunately the overheads are just far to high compared to the incoming which forces our hand.

Going off to have a baby would mean finding staff and there is no room for another payroll. I haven't taken a wage this year to try and make it work but it just isn't no matter what we try.

I want to take the opportunity to thank every single customer that has supported my dream the last 5 years but it's now time to focus on the most precious gift and dream of all time

From this week burrito will be open 11am to 9pm all week and closed a Wednesday
