Days are getting brighter, and we’re almost through what often feels like the most difficult month of the year.
How’s January treating you?
After moving from London, winter in the Highlands can sometimes feel isolating. One strategy that really helps me is simply getting out for a walk—and every time I do, I’m reminded how incredibly blessed we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world.
The fresh air, the water, and the surrounding scenery are truly special.
I’m sure many of you have been up to the Fyrish Monument in Alness. Did you know it represents the Gate of Negapatam, a port in Madras (India), which General Munro captured for the British in 1781?
If you’re heading out for a hike, here’s a little tip: pre-order your meal for pickup so it’s ready and waiting for you on your way back 😀

If you don’t fancy the washing up afterwards, pop in for a sit-down meal — we’d love to welcome you 😊
