By The River Café By The River Café sells delicious cakes, coffees, soups and sandwiches, all made fresh on the premises every day.

All profits go towards Highland Hospice, which is the only Hospice serving adults with complex palliative care needs in the Highlands.

Rhiann is a primary school teacher and volunteers two Saturday's a month in our café. ☕🌻

Working around her job and family, Rhiann enjoys the opportunity to meet new people while giving something back without the pressure of commitment.

If you would like to find out more about flexible volunteering, we will be holding open days on Friday 11 & Saturday 12th September at Highland Hospice.

For nearly five years Rachel and Ruth have volunteered every Wednesday afternoon at By the River Cafe.

This has led to a friendship outside of Highland Hospice, meeting for regular coffee dates and catch ups.

✨The best part of volunteering is meeting new people. Over the years, she has built strong friendships and describes the other volunteers as like a second family.
