Just finished this 'bird hide' project for a local Forrest school. The weather has been pretty tricky right through this build, but that didn't stop us.
The kids are very excited, the teachers equally so and even I'm pleased with how this one turned out! 😁

Well this is the biggest log that's been on the mill. 2.5m long and 700mm across, unfortunately some pesky victorian's had knocked a lot of nails into it which made milling quite tricky! Got there in the end though.

Cedar shingle roof all finished. Just the oak worktop to finish for the bar.

Cladding on and ridge up. Just short of a roof now. It's all looking rather lovely with the porcelain tiles.

Now at the timber yard (peachwood how) selecting and cutting waney edge board ready for cladding tomorrow.

Nice load of pine boards milled and ready for delivery this morning 🌅.
